Recent discussion about the prospect of new North Carolina water regulations prompted Charlotte’s WFAE Radio to host an hourlong program this week on “water wars.” Michael Sanera, John Locke Foundation Director of Research and Local Government Studies, offered the free-market, limited-government perspective during the program. Sanera also joined Chad Adams on Wilmington’s WLTT Radio. They discussed city plans to expand taxpayer-funded bus services and to drive off privately owned trash collection firms. In other radio news, Carolina Journal Associate Editor David Bass makes his first appearance today on WPTF Radio’s political roundtable with Rick and Donna Martinez. Becki Gray, JLF Vice President for Outreach, offered her weekly state government preview and recap interviews to WTSB Radio listeners, and she returned to the set of N.C. Spin as a guest panelist. Gray also headed to Morehead City for a presentation on redistricting to the Crystal Coast Republican Men’s Club. WTVD interviewed Mitch Kokai, Director of Communications, about Gov. Beverly Perdue’s executive order dealing with access to taxpayer-funded pre-kindergarten services. Kokai discussed Perdue’s executive order and other state government news during an appearance with Curtis Wright on WAAV/WFNC Radio.
