Anyone troubled by the condos planned for Carmel and Colony needs to undertand that higher density development is exactly what the city wants for in-fill development such as this.
Higher density trumps all other considerations as the city races to get that density figure up, part of an effect to create a demand for mass transit. Plus, condo dwellers tend not to have too many kids, if any, which is also part of the overall plan. Taxpayers without the need for too many services — a city planner’s dream.
