Several John Locke Foundation staffers took their expertise on the road this week. Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray offered legislative updates to Freedom Club meetings in Durham and Rocky Mount. Gray also addressed a FreedomWorks group that traveled to Raleigh to protest a proposed tax increase on cigarettes. During last weekend’s state Republican Party convention, Gray spoke at the Republican Men’s Federation breakfast. Meanwhile, Joseph Coletti recently discussed health care issues with the Constitutional Liberties group in Goldsboro. One week ago, Mitch Kokai drove to Albemarle to serve as featured speaker for a Stanly County taxpayer Tea Party. The Stanly News & Press mentioned his participation, and Carolina Journal Radio affiliate WSPC featured Kokai’s remarks in its Monday morning newscasts.
