The News & Observer recently promoted a pair of speeches from John Locke Foundation experts: Becki Gray‘s presentation to the Wake County Republican Women and Joseph Coletti’s lecture for the Wake Young Republicans. Gray, JLF’s Vice President for Outreach, also spoke recently to a Yadkinville Tea Party group, and she participated in a mock presentation of N.C. Spin for about 200 4-H students. Gray returns to the real N.C. Spin syndicated television program this weekend. She delivered her regular legislative preview this week for WTSB Radio, and she’ll offer a recap of the week’s legislative events on the same station later today. Mitch Kokai, Director of Communications, offered another legislative review this morning for Curtis Wright on WAAV/WFNC Radio. Kokai also discussed the aftermath of Gov. Beverly Perdue’s budget veto during a live apperance on WTVD Television’s new 4 p.m. newscast. JLF Executive Vice President Kory Swanson delivered opening remarks during a Heritage Foundation discussion session in Raleigh titled “Will Opportunity Keep Knocking? How Government Policies Are Making It Harder For You to Become Successful.” Troy Kickler, Director of the N.C. History Project, discussed the Progressive movement and the North Carolina eugenics program during a lecture to the Eastern N.C. Tea Party group in Kinston.
