In addition to her writing and radio work, Becki Gray served as keynote speaker this week at the Conservative Issues Summit in Windsor. N.C. History Project Director Dr. Troy Kickler also hit the road for a presentation to the “We the People” group in Brunswick County. Kickler discussed North Carolina’s role in the American Revolution and in the fight to safeguard individual liberty within the U.S. Constitution. These were themes Kickler had addressed last weekend during the Citizens’ Constitutional Workshop he and Michael Sanera conducted in Raleigh. The Lincoln Tribune picked up Carolina Journal‘s coverage of the workshop. In other news, Meck Deck blogger Jeff Taylor returned to Tara Servatius’ WBT Radio program this week, discussing the lack of economic improvement and the rash of home foreclosures in Mecklenburg County and North Carolina.
