In keeping with the recently popular topic of gay marriage, I’d like to share an article that Donna pointed out in the February 20th News & Observer about women and marriage. (No link available)
It seems that more women are deciding to adopt their husband’s name when marrying than in the past. The researcher who discovered this trend, Claudia Goldin, suggests that “the observed dip may be linked to a shift toward more conservative lifestyles and a return to romance.”
