Brendan Bordelon reports for National Review Online on a surprising addition to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign schedule.
Hillary Clinton made a surprise visit to a union protest outside Donald Trump’s Las Vegas hotel Monday, urging those picketing the property to just say no to the Republican front-runner.
“You have to say no to efforts that prevent you from organizing, that prevent you from having the kind of working conditions you deserve,” the Democratic front-runner said to hundreds of protesters from Culinary Union Local 226 who had gathered outside the Trump International Hotel, according to the Los Angeles Times. “That means saying no to Donald Trump.”
Clinton was in Las Vegas to participate in the first Democratic presidential debate on Tuesday at the Wynn Hotel, right across the Vegas Strip from Trump’s property. Union workers had planned the march in front of the hotel for days, hoping to organize its workers. But Clinton’s surprise appearance quickly morphed the meeting into a campaign rally.
