Recently we’ve seen lower-fare carriers like Frontier and Allegiant come to town (in Allegiant’s case, the town in question is Concord). It’s worth noting that such carriers can be rather quick to dump routes that don’t live up to expectations. For example, as USA Today reports:
“Leisure carrier Allegiant is ending service to two college towns only about three months after it first began flying from them. Allegiant announced last week that it will end its flights from both Charlottesville, Va., and Manhattan, Kan., on Feb. 23.”
