Greensboro Assistant City Manager Denise Turner updates residents on the weatherization program related under the fed economic plan. Emphasis is mine, just so there can be know doubt about the amount of money. I’ll refrain from comment and leave interpretation up to you, dear reader:
$8 billion in funding for weatherization and energy efficiency as part of the ARRA. North Carolina will receive $131,954,536 for weatherization and $75,989,000 for the state energy program.
The funding will support weatherization of homes, including adding more insulation, sealing leaks and modernizing heating and air conditioning equipment.
