It looks like Greensboro Coliseum Director Matt Brown has given up on the Canada Dry property as the site for his ACC Hall of Champions. Which isn’t saying he hasn’t given up on the project itself:

Brown wants to put the ACC Hall of Champions inside the West Lee Street complex, rather than in the old Canada Dry building next door.

His idea also calls for moving the Greensboro Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Greensboro Sports Commission offices inside the coliseum.

Where in the coliseum would those features be located? What spaces would the complex lose to make it happen? How much would it cost?

Answers unknown — at least for now.

….The newspaper on Wednesday asked coliseum spokesman Andrew Brown for an interview with Matt Brown to discuss the drawings.

“Matt feels it would be inappropriate to comment publicly until he has had an opportunity to present these conceptual ideas to the city manager, City Council and War Memorial Commission and get their feedback,” Andrew Brown said in an e-mail.

OK, which City Council? The one that lowballed the Canada Dry property, or the one with (Brown hopes) Kevin Green warming one of the seats?
