North Carolina stands to gain as energy companies pursue new locations for exploration and drilling in the years ahead. That’s the prediction Mark Cares offered during a presentation today to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society.
Cares has worked in shale energy exploration since 2010, starting in North Dakota and venturing to other states that have used hydraulic fracturing — “fracking” — to extract oil and natural gas from shale.
