From Orange County — where the budget includes a $45,000 appropriation for a breast feeding consultant — comes the commissioners’ predictable cry for more money. Last night, commissioners took another step toward putting the 1/4 cent sales tax hike on the ballot — again. Commissioner Steve Yuhasz invoked the familiar “for the children” battle cry.

“We will either need to let our schools fall apart or we’re going to need to find a source of income to make the necessary repairs to those schools,” said Commissioner Steve Yuhasz. “There aren’t any other opportunities other than an increase in the property tax or an increase in sales tax.”
