The Herald-Sun reports that a gaggle of Orange County politicians think the quarter-cent sales tax hike referendum that appears on the fall ballot will be approved by voters. Orange County Commissioner Pam Hemminger, says the story, thinks that telling voters part of the tax-hike revenue will go to schools could help with passage. As I reported earlier this week, opposition to the tax  hike is being led by the Orange County Republican Party. Early voting begins today.
