Meanwhile, Lindalyn Kakadelis of the N.C. Education Alliance joined Bill LuMaye on WPTF to discuss high school graduation rates and state lawmakers’ refusal to support legislation creating education tax credits. Kakadelis also discussed with the Daily Tar Heel the impact of state education budget cuts on classroom teachers. In other news, the News & Observer quoted John Locke Foundation Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray in an article about a 12-year-old “politico.” Gray returned to the radio for interviews with WTSB and Curtis Media Group’s “Carolina Newsmakers” and “People in Politics.” An op-ed in the Charlotte Observer noted the John Locke Foundation in discussing the death tax’s impact. A McDowell News column also cited JLF research while analyzing the state lottery.
