When Gov. Beverly Perdue announced on Thursday her reorganization plans for state agencies, the News & Observer and American Independent sought John Hood’s reaction. A NewsBusters.org article this week blasting MSNBC host Keith Olbermann revisited Olbermann’s earlier decision to name Hood one of the “worst people in the world.” Triangle radio listeners heard insights this week from Becki Gray, John Locke Foundation Vice President for Outreach. Gray joined Carl Lamm on WTSB to discuss the WikiLeaks investigation, JLF’s recommendations for the General Assembly’s First 100 Days, and other current events. Gray also made a brief presentation to incoming North Carolina legislators as part of a program arranged by Rep. Dale Folwell, R-Forsyth. The N.C. Coastal Conservative Coalition’s year-end reception Thursday featured remarks from local activists and outside speakers, including Mitch Kokai, Director of Communications. Meanwhile, an American Independent article about a candidate for state Democratic Party chairman mentioned that candidate’s criticism of the Locke Foundation. The Waynesville Mountaineer has announced plans to publicize JLF analysis of the state’s budget crunch.
