So. Yet another super-secret, hush-hush breach of security at Charlotte-Douglas Airport.
When is the city of Charlotte — meaning Charlotte city council — going to step up and take responsibility for what is going on out there? You’d normally say, “Does it take a death at the airport?” but we’ve already got one of those.
Update: WBTV adds more details, making clear that airport police took the airport-employee fence jumper into custody, but did not arrest him because a Mecklenburg County magistrate could not find that any crime had been committed.
Some folks have reacted poorly to me calling out the local legal professional a root of all that is wrong with Charlotte. Well, too bad. Here’s one to chew on while you tell yourself that everything is find in legal-dom:
You can get arrested in Charlotte for talking out of turn at a public school board meeting, but not for jumping the fence at the city-owned airport.
Pray tell who benefits from such an arrangement?
