News 14 Carolina cited the North Carolina History Project again in one of its features spotlighting Black History Month. The latest citation involved a secret basketball game between teams from Duke and N.C. Central universities during the days of government-sanctioned racial segregation.
Meanwhile, History Project Director Troy Kickler has been helping the Edenton Historical Commission plan for the town’s 300th anniversary celebration. Kickler has helped identify key historical figures and offered suggestions for the celebration.
