Burke County
Number of seats: 3

Winners: Buddy Armour (Central District), Sam Wilkinson (Eastern District), Seth P. Hunt, Jr. (Western District)
Hot Take: All three are incumbents, so no radical changes are forthcoming.
Chapel Hill-Carrboro
Number of seats: 4
Partisan? No
Winners: Amy Fowler, Mary Ann Wolf, Joal Hall Broun, James Barrett
Hot Take: Incumbents Broun and Barett won and voters elected two new members to a board not known for its intellectual diversity.
Cleveland County
Number of seats: 4
Partisan? Yes
Winners: Phillip Glover (Democrat), Coleman Hunt (Democrat), Dena Green (Democrat), Danny Lee Blanton (Republican)
Hot Take: Glover and Blanton are incumbents. Hunt and Green are new to the board. According to voter registration information, Democrats have a majority.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools
