Several weeks back I noted that a high ozone alert reported by the News and Observer missed the mark. The code orange day never materialized. Of course, the N&O left out this “little detail” in their report. Well it’s happened again. This time the culprit newspaper is the Winston Salem Journal. While reporting that a code orange day was forecast for Tuesday July 20, they failed to note that the forecast missed the mark. No monitor in Forsyth County even came close to crossing the code orange threshold.
