Better get on the stick, sparky. What the Panthers got so far in free agency is no kind of overall upgrade for team that did not sniff the playoffs last year. Worse still, the Falcons just made a major upgrade at RB by signing Michael Turner away from the Chargers.
The Panthers let the best DE available, Justin Smith, go to the 49ers. The DL is in serious need of help — still. At RB, more holes, also at safety and along the OL. At best, you can expect to get starter-quality help at two out of the four on the draft. And some would say the Moose is not much help at WR.
Someone needs to tell the Richardsons that new video boards are not gonna fill seats if the team on the field is manifestly crap.
