Your train is in trouble!
The Stop the Train effort has just handed in 11,000 pro-transit tax repeal signatures to the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections. Another 10,000 or so are slated to be handed in on Friday. That would be roughly one-third of the way to the 60,000 or so raw signatures needed to generate the 48,000 verified signatures needed by August to put a transit tax repeal on the November ballot.
Paging Pat McCrory!
State your position on transit tax repeal: Yay or Nay. And why?
Paging Parks Helms!
Don’t you wish the Mecklenburg County Commission had gotten ahead of this issue, rather than being steam-rolled by it?
Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayer?
You still out there? There’s hope yet.
