Look, it does not take a genius to see what is going on. Teams play default eight men in the box, see single back and launch one more than can be blocked at the QB, roll coverage toward Steve Smith. Repeat. And double-down when you get a lead. It has been thus since the NFC title game versus Seattle.
There is exactly one NFL-level arm on this Carolina roster and it belongs to Matt Moore. Either the Panthers resolve to take their lumps with him at the helm this year or guarantee themselves, oh, the next three years without making the playoffs. Might not happen this year regardless as Marty-Foxy have sapped depth/special teams by over-paying for Gross, Delhomme, Peppers, Gamble etc. This is a 4-12 roster, no doubt about it. Even 2-14 would not surprise.
