The latest financial breakdown of NFL teams from Forbes puts the Carolina Panthers as the eighth most valuable franchise in the league, worth an estimated $878 million, far above the league average of $819 million. As Forbes notes, the Panthers are one of the few teams to play in a building constructed without taxpayer funds. Yay!

For perspective, the top-ranked franchise is the Washington Redskins, pegged at $1.3 billion and at the bottom comes the Minnesota Vikings at around $650 million. The Panthers will be whomping the Vikes long about the end of October.
