Laurel Park wants to raise taxes four cents. There are a lot of rich people there, but there are some poor people, too. If they were all rich, I’d say let them have at it. But on behalf of the poor, I would argue for a 3-cent increase and cut from the budget a match for a Clean Water Management Trust Fund grant and a “complete comprehensive” and possibly even total land-use plan update.
