Quick note to Union County Commissioner Parker Mills, government is not a business. Hence calling the decision to fire County Manager Mike Shalati a “business decision” makes no sense.
Further, spending $600,000 to remove Shalati fairly demands a clear reason for the action. If you didn’t like the way we combed his hair, fine, go with that. But government service demands accountability.
