On the subject of sinking ships…..
When a big regionalism guy like Randolph County Commissioner and Darrel Frye suggests merging PART with the Piedmont Triad Council of Governments, you know the situation is dire.
Frye’s said the “burden of what we’ve done has all been at the expense of the people riding the bus.” Seems to me that’s backwards —the burden of what PART’s done these many years has all been at the expense of the people not riding the bus.
Check the comments to the N&R article —– it’s always good to see I’m not the only one noticing the empty PART buses running up and down the road.
