This story of state representative Joe Boylan?s DWI charges starts:

Raleigh – A Republican state representative has been charged with DWI in his Moore County district.

State Rep. Joe Boylan, R-Pinehurst, drove his 1999 Ford pick-up truck over the center line, off the left side of the road and into a ditch before striking a tree Thursday night in eastern Moore County, according to Sgt. T.C. McNair of the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

Since his party affiliation is the second word of the story and it gets a second mention early in the second paragraph, we know Boylan?s a Republican.
