It was suggested that Flat Rock either pay extra for county law enforcement or perhaps get their own force. After all, other municipalities within Henderson County have their own service. Stats were displayed that showed the sheriff’s department was answering $800,000 worth of calls in Flat Rock and $180,000 in Mills River. Then, somebody discovered the numbers were mixed up and it was the other way around. As usual, people who would net negative with a change are opposed, whereas those who expect to net positive are in favor. Go figger.
