Before the N.C. State Board of Elections voted this week to fine Gov. Beverly Perdue’s campaign $30,000 in connection with free unreported campaign flights, Carolina Journal shared new details about the case. Executive Editor Don Carrington‘s exclusive report on a Perdue campaign lawyer’s knowledge about the flights attracted attention from the Lincoln Tribune. Carrington discussed his research with Tom Lamprecht on the WTIB Radio morning show and with Lockwood Phillips on WTKF’s “Viewpoints Radio” program. Carrington made a second appearance on Phillips’ program after Tuesday’s elections board hearing.
