Perhaps Oprah Winfrey should sit down with her good friend President Obama and discuss the reality of what it takes to run a business, which the president clearly doesn’t understand — and doesn’t want to understand. Oprah’s network is tanking and she just canned 30 people.

“The economics of a startup cable network just don’t work with the cost structure that was in place,” Winfrey said in a statement. “As CEO, I have a responsibility to chart the course for long-term success for the network [and] to wholly achieve that long-term success, this was a necessary step.”
