The N&R editorializes on Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins’ personal fiscal cliff:

Greensboro mayors serve for only two years at a time, and Perkins faces another election in the fall of 2013. If Perkins’ woes begin to weigh heavily enough on him personally, he may decide not to run again. And if those woes weigh heavily enough on voters’ minds, they’ll have the chance to decide for him.

Of course the question is who would take Perkins on in the upcoming election. I earlier suggested former Mayor Bill Knight, whom Perkins defeated in the last election. But someone else just dawned on me.
