Dan E. Way joined Carolina Journal in 2012 as Associate Editor. He has extensive experience in daily journalism, editing The Chapel Hill Herald from 2009-11, serving as metro editor at the Durham Herald-Sun from 2005-08, and working at various senior editing and management positions at newspapers in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Pennsylvania.
