Paul Slobodian serves as the chairman of the John Locke Foundation board. After earning a masters in management from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts of Technology, Paul Slobodian joined the Los Angeles office of RHR International, a Chicago based management consulting firm. In 1986 Slobodian was promoted to run the New York City office of RHR. In 1990 Slobodian was hired by the Universal Instruments division of Dover Corporation. Slobodian is credited as being instrumental in rebuilding Universal’s competitiveness by upgrading organization talent, leading a comprehensive quality initiative and using performance based compensation systems. Slobodian has recently served as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration of Allegheny Energy, a Fortune 500 company and is founder of Pivot Consulting, LLC, an organization and management development consulting firm.

Prior to his business career he received a doctorate in counseling psychology from Boston University. He was licensed as a psychologist in Massachuetts and California. He served as Director of Intake and Community Services at Boston State Hospital and Director/Clinical Chief at Harvard Street Health Center in Boston.
