The Governor, in response to the heavyweight battles raging on Jones Street over the budget, has taken his anger towards legislators to a new height. Instead of just shaking a parently finger at representatives for cow toeing to “special interest,” he’s decided to take his family hostage in the Executive Mansion.
That’s right, like a kid who locks himself in his room because he’s angry at his parents, the Governor has decided to extend his private time with his family by disallowing visitors to his Mansion until legislators finish the budget.
The people of North Carolina are personae non gratae until legislators do as I say, muses Easley from the cushion confines of a mansion built from our tax dollars.
