Local blogger Roch Smith Jr. — who’s been hammering Rush Radio for “plagiarism”—–now calls out the N&R for regurgitating a press release when reporting computer security breaches at UNCG.
Indeed, the practically word-for-word “staff report” is still on its Web site. But above the fold in this morning’s print edition is a real story written by a real reporter, albeit sourced through a university press release.
Evidently the N&R still has higher standards for its print edition. But there are lots of people out there who —-unlike me — don’t bother with the print edition.
