Please, please, please do not create a soap opera out of Kris Jenkins and the Panthers. Yes, the team is unhappy with him. Yes, there are reasons to be unhappy with Kris’ off-season prep — or lack thereof. And, yes, Kris is not happy about being dangled about the league by the Panther front-office.
However.
This is really not that big of a deal — certainly not among the one or two most important questions hanging over the Panthers. I’d certainly put safety, Dan Morgan’s healthy, and need for 1,200-yard running back all ahead of what happens next with Kris Jenkins.
Besides, if you really want to do a Kris Jenkins story, here is one free of charge. Given that the Pats got Randy Moss for a 4th round pick, what exactly was Marty Hurney smoking that caused him to imagine that Kris Jenkins was worth a 1st rounder?
