Because I cringe at the idea that an NC Wesleyan professor would post her picture thus:

And I would lament the state of education at a Wesleyan college that teaches conspiracy-laden bilge as POL 495: 911 The Road To Tyranny and has a professor gladly linking to Stalinist front groups like International A.N.S.W.E.R., terrorist outfits like the Irish Republican Army, and all manner of anti-Semitic conspiracy sites and more.
So please tell me that it’s not a coincidence that I learned of this on April Fools Day 2005. Let the joke be on academe, that people would merely believe professors capable of such idiocy and sheer hatred of their country. Don’t let it be for real.
