As COVID-19 continues to dominate the headlines, this episode highlights two important pieces of the pandemic story. Donald van der Vaart, John Locke Foundation senior fellow and former secretary of the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality, argues for better modeling of the coronavirus’s potential impact in the state. He explains why during a conversation with JLF Vice President Donna Martinez. The pandemic also will play a role in the state’s 2020 elections. Rick Henderson, Carolina Journal editor-in-chief, offers Donna his analysis of that potential impact.
