The COVID-19 pandemic continues to place restrictions on courtroom operations in North Carolina. State Supreme Court Chief Justice Cheri Beasley has issued a series of orders since mid-March revising and delaying court actions. But courts remain open. Beasley discusses with Mitch Kokai the pandemic’s impact on courtroom procedures. She also discusses the potential for short-term and long-term changes resulting from COVID-19 and the need for social distancing.
