It may be just the result of an overly attuned media, or maybe it’s the result of Lord Acton’s law.  Whatever its cause, corruption at all levels of government is on the rise, and JLF is commenting on it.  In an AP story picked up by the Myrtle Beach Sun News, John Hood summed up the Democrats’ strategy for dealing with the ethical questions surrounding House Speaker Jim Black: either smooth out some of the Speaker’s more questionable legislative actions without pointing the blame, or just avoid him.  Moving up the state political tree, Don Carrington, whose been investigating the governor’s real estate dealings for some time now, was vindicated when the State Board of Ethics launched an ethics probe into the matter. He’ll be on Lockwood Phillips to discuss this and the other scandals plaguing the state. And at the national level, Paul Chesser weighed in on the apparently caught-red-handed acceptance of monies by Louisiana Democrat, William Jefferson.  In his American Spectator article, Paul laments the cries of Constitutional violations coming from Republicans.
