Yeah, it is cute and funny, but focusing on the amount being thrown out of DC obscures where and how it is being spent.

Besides — shhhh — the American public likes pork. The upset is with other people getting the yummy, yummy slop.

Take the $7.2 billion to be spent on broadband for the “underserved.” It is not objectionable due to the amount, but because of the motivation and underlying assumption. There is no shortage of broadband in America. As such, every dollar is simply government-sanctioned theft from taxpayers to the telecom industry, related labor unions, and various left-wing hangers-on.

That’s not pork, that’s tyranny.
