In the news today is a complaint about Governor Pat McCrory remodeling his restroom at the State Capitol for $19,000. Reportedly, the restroom emanated an embarrassing odor. If I’m reading the story correctly, the smell not only damaged plumbing, but was causing the paint to peel and tile to crack. One might, therefore, infer that McCrory isn’t, or is no longer, full of $#!+ – except he is blaming the previous administration. You may construct any number of arguments to pin the offensive odors on the Republican or Democrat potty, but public outcry (over the cost, not the smell) caused McCrory to cancel an additional $230,000 of repairs slated for six washrooms in the governor’s mansion.
