Leon Jaroff, a columnist for Time magazine, writes about panic that has set in among non-religious scientists because one, uno, single book espousing a creationist view of the formation of the Grand Canyon is being sold in National Park Service gift shops. Jaroff himself shares in the panic, and explains that — gads! — the book has become quite popular.

What you will see, if you read the article, is that Jaroff repeatedly dismisses the book on grounds that it has to do with “faith,” without addressing the scientific arguments contained therein. How about a real scientific debate over theories rather than a knee-jerk reaction to so-called Christian crazies?
