Last evening I received an automated poll from Public Policy Polling. The poll was long and focused on a number of issues, but started with who should replace Sen. Ellie Kinnaird, the liberal Democrat who recently resigned her legislative seat representing Orange and Chatham counties. Here is what I recall of the poll.

— Favorable or Unfavorable opinion of Sen. Kinnaird and myriad Democrats such as Alice Bordsen, whom Kinnaird reportedly wants to take her spot

— Who is my favorite to replace Kinnaird, and my second choice as well

— Should the replacement be a woman?

— Favorable or Unfavorable opinion of the myriad Democrats who want the seat, including Bordsen

— Favorable or Unfavorable opinion of Randy Voller, Democratic Party Chairman from Chatham County

— Whether or not there are too many, too few, or just the right amount of deer in the area

— Would I support or oppose an organized effort to reduce the deer population

— Would I support or oppose a Target in the area (I think it was Target; pollster voice dipped)

— Would I support or oppose an Olive Garden in Carrboro (I think it was Olive Garden, pollster voice dipped again)

— What do I think of local officials who chose to get arrested at “Moral Monday” events
