You can look to at least one corporate entity — ESPN’s “SportsCenter” — that doesn’t feel compelled to diversify and make sure they have at least one woman as an anchor. Nor does former anchor Linda Cohn believe (scroll to third item) quotas are necessary:
As for SportsCenter no longer having a star female, Cohn says it’s “prehistoric” to assume the need for a quota: “You go for a quality person, not just somebody for being a woman. I wasn’t on SportsCenter because I’m a woman.”
