Who: Michael Barone is one of America’s most respected political journalists and historians. As a senior writer with U.S. News & World Report, he pens the highly influential bi-monthly column, “The National Interest.” Since 1998, he has been a chief political contributor for the Fox News Channel.

Barone is the principal co-author of The Almanac of American Politics, published by National Journal every two years. The Almanac is a vital tool for understanding and assessing the nation’s political landscape.

He will put that insight to work Tuesday, March 7, as he looks ahead to the 2006 elections. Will Republicans maintain control of the U.S. House and Senate? What are the races to watch? How will current events affect the ballot box? Barone will address those questions at the John Locke Foundation Headliner Luncheon.
