RALEIGH — For two years, families across the state have been at the mercy of politicians and school boards who have too often shown they’re willing to sacrifice child welfare for the sake of their political agenda.

To the parents who continue to fight tirelessly for their children, we see you, we hear you, and we support you. The Free the Smiles veto may feel like a loss, but it’s only on paper. The reality is that educational freedom is winning at local levels across the state and the larger cultural battle. Elected officials who do support you will find themselves on the right side of children, history, and voters.

Political flashpoints, like the Free the Smiles Act, are important, but even more essential to your child’s success is promoting a culture of education freedom in your school districts. Keep working at the local level. Keep fighting for truth on behalf of your families. Together, let’s demand a Parent’s Bill of Rights.

Consider us your ally and a resource in this larger battle for educational freedom. If you’re interested in learning more about how you can demand better from politicians and bureaucrats, contact Locke’s Grassroots Outreach Coordinator, Kelly Mann, at [email protected]
