Who: Christopher Hitchens is one the best-known and most controversial figures within the contemporary American media.

A prolific author and writer for Vanity Fair, The Nation, Slate, and many other publications, Hitchens offers a provocative and often irreverent take on current events. He is a vocal critic of what he describes as “fascism with an Islamic face.”

A strong supporter of the War on Terror, Hitchens is one of the few journalists to have traveled to and reported from the “Axis of Evil” – Pyongyang, Baghdad, and Tehran.

He’s not afraid to criticize those who downplay ongoing threats to U.S. security. Earlier this month, Hitchens attacked in print the comments of a University of Michigan professor who had denied Iran’s open call for the destruction of Israel.

Join the John Locke Foundation for an insightful examination of the War on Terror with one of the world’s most important and thoughtful journalists.
