Shannon, some years ago at The Herald-Sun I was walking by the desk of a young reporter reading a letter he had gotten in the mail. As I walked by I asked, “What’s that? A prison letter?” He looked up in surprise and asked, “How did you know it was a letter from a prisoner?”
I told him that when I worked in the governor’s office in Alabama we got hundreds of letters from prisoners who, of course, were totally innocent. They all had the same look, just like Taheri-azar’s (example at left). I can’t explain it, but they do all look alike.
