Lindalyn Kakadelis addressed groups in Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston-Salem this week as the NC Education Alliance’s tour rolled on across the state, sharing information about charter schools and their role in education reform and innovation. While in the Triad, she joined talks show host Mike Fenley on WSJS-AM for a two-hour discussion of the issue. She also talked with the Raleigh News & Observer about charters and the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) requirement of the No Child Left Behind law. The charter-focused tour continues next week in Orange County. Kakadelis’ commentary on the flawed logic used by state DPI to calculate the graduation rate was published in The Stokes News and Laurinburg Exchange.
